Karen holds a breadth of experience across all aspects of Speech and Language Therapy with over 30 years of experience across the field. Clinical care has included work with both children and adults and across a number of care groups including stroke, degenerative conditions, head and neck cancer, dysfluency, swallowing difficulties and speech difficulties. However, a clinical focus on working within voice disorders, offering voice therapy and input to enhance clarity of speech has always been a career-long passion.
Hence the birth of ReVoice: a highly specialist voice therapy service which aims to assess, treat and maximise the potential for easy, effective and efficient voice use, as well as offering techniques to maximise clarity of speech and oral communication, serving Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.

The aim of ReVoice
How we work
At Revoice Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire, we offer personalised 1-1 contact, work within small groups, and offer advice workshops to large groups within business or industry sectors.
We aim to be as flexible and accommodating as possible and are able to offer various times of day or evening to suit your needs. We will either attend business premises or secure a suitable location convenient to our clients. We, at ReVoice aim to ensure that you receive the correct treatment for the voicing difficulties you experience and that you develop skills to enhance and maintain effective voicing and speech.
Our services include treatment of identified voice problems, advice to prevent voice problems, improvement of vocal ability & effective oral presentation & communication.
Good voice and clear speech make for good communication which equals a good outcome.
A little more about Karen...
Karen qualified from Birmingham School of Speech Therapy in 1980, enjoying practical placements in and around Birmingham, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight. Taking up full time employment in and across North Staffordshire, she worked with both children and adults to treat an extensive range of speech disorders, language difficulties, and voicing problems.
From developing experience across the whole age range of patients/clients, she moved on to develop specialisation within the adult service which lead to promotion to Senior Speech and Language Therapist, right through to Head of Adult Speech and Language Service, serving a population of over half a million people across Staffordshire whilst still retaining clinical work. After taking early retirement from that post in 2012 Karen took up a part time clinical post focusing on voice within the NHS.
